The Joe Rogan Way

Competition Means to “Strive Together”

Joe Rogan is probably not your favorite comedian, fighter, or nutritionist.

Joe Rogan

But Joe Rogan single-handedly expanded the markets for stand-up comedy, fighting, podcasting, supplements, and recovery (cold plunges, sauna, and the reverse-hyper).

How? By embracing the true nature of competition.

In latin, competition means to strive together. And Joe does this better than anyone. Whether you’re bigger or smaller than him, Joe will put you on. He’ll pump you up.

He shares his platform and wisdom freely.

He shared his fame with the UFC by commentating the first 10+ events for free.

He constantly shares his podcast with both noob and veteran comedians, exposing them to his millions of listeners and viewers. He even built The Comedy Mothership, a stand-up comedy club to lift up any comedian he chooses without restriction. (And even on his website, he honors the clubs that came before his.)

Even though he has a supplement company, he often recommends competitors who make good products like the Macuguard eye-supplement from LifeExtension.

Be like Joe. Lift people up. Be a real champion.

Don’t be a crab in the crab bucket. Don’t see the little guy climb higher than you and bring him down.

When you see someone shining, find out ways to make them shine harder instead of working hard to show the world how your shine is shinier.

The Joe Rogan way is longer and takes patience but he’s proven it’s worth it.

Leaders are not those who break knees. Leaders are those that illuminate the frontier and know that their torch can be shared.

“Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the single candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.”
